Ben Carter

Ben Carter is an accomplished vocalist and musician born and raised in North Central Florida. He has had a lifelong love for music. At age 5 he began piano lessons, which he continued until age 18. At 18, he felt he was ready to branch out on his own, so he quit lessons and began teaching himself. Ben has studied classical, contemporary, jazz and blues piano.

With an extensive background in music theory, combined with his knowledge of music gained from his years of piano lessons, Ben taught himself to play the guitar. He studied many different music styles and genres, focusing mostly on blues, country and rock and roll.Over the years, he has made a name for himself as a guitarist. Ben is currently endorsed by Prestige Guitars and InTune Guitar Picks.

Ben’s most powerful instrument is his voice, which has been described as “silk sheets with a pillow made of sandpaper”. Some of his most notable accomplishments as a vocalist include a performance at the world renowned Carnegie Hall in New York City and performing the National Anthem at a Tampa Bay Rays baseball game.

In 2010, Ben formed “The Ben Carter Band”, better known as “The BCB”. The BCB has been traveling the country for 5 years performing anywhere from back yards to opening a show for Lynyrd Skynyrd. The BCB has opened for many national recording artists including, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, The Kentucky Headhunters, John Anderson, Sawyer Brown, Craig Wayne Boyd, and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. Ben says he enjoys solo work, but the band is where all of the fun happens.
